Understanding the differences between a toner and astringent can be difficult sometimes especially when you’re just understanding about acne. Acne is a major concern for teenagers and some adults. A few commercial Astringents contain some type of drying agent such as alcohol to help with facial issues and this is where the confusion comes in. Astringents are not made for Acne, using an astringent when you are prone to acne can make the condition even worse. Astringents should never be used on acne or blemishes that’s when you need a toner.
